On December 9, 2024, the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, organized the Anatomy Seminar (2024 – Semester I) at the AN1-202 conference room, Phayathai Campus. This seminar served as a platform for students and lecturers to exchange insights and explore significant issues in anatomical science.

From 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, Ms. Ardhiyanti Puspita Ratna, a Ph.D. candidate, presented her study on “Functional Neuroplasticity of Facilitation and Interference Effects on Inhibitory Control Following 3-Month Physical Exercise in Aging.” She discussed the potential of physical exercise to improve cognitive abilities, including inhibitory control and focus, in the elderly.

From 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, Ms. Kittiya Phugsapitak, a Ph.D. candidate, presented her research on “Rupatadine Inhibits Colorectal Cancer Cell Proliferation Through the PIP5K1A/Akt/CDK2 Pathway.” Her talk focused on how Rupatadine can suppress the growth of colorectal cancer cells by targeting specific biological pathways.

During the seminar, Ms. Pannasa Manjit moderated the first session (9:00–10:30 AM), while Ms. Thitiporn Khongkha took over for the second session (10:30 AM onwards). Their contributions ensured the event proceeded smoothly and efficiently.

The seminar was attended by students from master’s and Ph.D. programs, whose active participation in discussions played a key role in success and highlighted their dedication to learning and research.

Following each presentation, a Q&A session allowed participants to ask questions and exchange ideas, enhancing interaction and discussion.

Assoc. Prof. Somluk Asuvapongpatana, Head of the Department of Anatomy, and Assoc. Prof. Nopporn Jongkamonwiwat, Deputy Head, participated in the seminar, accompanied by department lecturers.

The department extends gratitude to Asst. Prof. Somyoth Sridurongrit for overseeing the seminar course. Their support and engagement emphasized the value of this event for the academic community.

The Anatomy Seminar (2024 – Semester I) will continue with two additional sessions on December 18 and December 24, 2024, providing more opportunities for engaging academic discussions and collaborative learning.
